Additionally, those who agreed to the deal would receive an invitation to the documentary’s premiere.Melania was also reportedly eager for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos to acquire the rights to the documentary.This $40 million deal is said to be the most Amazon has ever spent on a documentary. Before the agreement was finalized, a bidding war reportedly took place between companies.According to Puck News, Disney offered $14 million, while Paramount bid $4 million. However, neither Netflix nor Apple participated in the bidding.
