According to the late influencer’s cousin, Laleska was hospitalized at Hospital Regional do Cariri on Sunday, February 2.Her family member told CNN Brasil that the 28-year-old died from septic shock caused by a fallopian tube infection.More specifically, it has been reported that Laleska had a tubo-ovarian abscess (TOA).According to Medical News Today, TOA is “an infectious mass that can form in the female reproductive system due to pelvic inflammatory disease.”Symptoms include chills, fever, nausea, lower abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, and unusual or heavy vaginal discharge.The condition typically affects sexually active women of reproductive age and often develops as a complication of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

Laleska underwent exploratory surgery after tests failed to determine what was wrong with her.During the procedure, doctors discovered her infection—which was already at an advanced stage.She went into septic shock on Monday, February 3, and passed away two days later.A wake was held the day after her death for the social media star and CEO of the marketing agency Agência Laleska Alexandre.In the wake of her passing, people have been paying tribute to Laleska. A friend shared: “I love you forever. I will remember you as the sweet, faithful, determined, and hard-working girl who never gave up in the face of adversity and always tried her best.”
